I am finished with MAD MAX after many hours of game play. I say i am finished, but i haven't actually completed the game. The story mission, which i have to complete to proceed, involves completing a barrel checkpoint race, and i simply cant do it.

The open world is huge with plenty to do. The locations and enemies are varied and interesting. The missions themselves are very similar, kill all the enemies, blow up all the things, kill the big boss, but the variety in locations and enemies really help to differentiate them.

The game itself is beautiful, the lighting and weather effects are amazing. The world is mostly desert so the game has done well to make this bleak post- apocalyptic landscape feel real and at times breathtaking.

I played the game on PS4, i don't have the VITA so i cant comment on that. I actually got the Post-Apocalyptic edition which included; The Ripper car body DLC, Road warrior DLC, Collector box, Game, Exclusive Steelbook game case, Mini mad max licence plate, and Mad Max Fury Road Blu-Ray (the movie was meh).

The in game pictures you see here are captured with the PS4 controllers share button. I only realised later that the game itself had "cinematic mode", which removed the mini-map, and other meta artifacts, allowing for cleaner captures.

MAX cant jump very high and he moves very slow, it wasn't until almost 50% through the game that i realised he had a sprint feature...Moving quickly along.

"Stay vigilant my angel. This is red eye land, and they mostly come out at night. Yes, yes, mostly."

The game has a great sense of humor and it really helps to break up the sometimes gloomy world.
It also needs to be said that for a post-apocalyptic world, society seems to have come a long way. There doesn't seem to be much sign of sexism, homophobia or discrimination based on disability. It seems that the need for mutual survival has overridden such bigotry and prejudice.

As you saw at the top i really like this game. Some things i didn't like were;
The forced barrel race mission.
My map bugged out with a few locations, keeping them check-marked after the mission was finished.
I wish that it would tell me which enemy car i was in and if i already had it in my collection.
I wish that if i took a car to my garage that i already had in my collection, i would get a bit of scrap or something.

Charlie Charlie challenge

Charlie Charlie can we play?

There is a craze going around at the moment, called the charlie charlie challenge. You basically take a piece of paper, divide it into four squares. You write yes no, yes no, each to a square. Then you take two pencils and balance them along the lines, so they intersect at the crossroads.You then ask 'Charlie Charlie are you there?" when Charlie Charlie says yes you ask, "Charlie Charlie can we play?" he he again says yes you can ask him questions and he will answer them yes or no.

NO
Apparently to end the session you should say "Thank you Charlie Charlie, can we stop?". If he says yes you should say "Charlie Charlie, thank you" and stop, some even say to crumple the paper, and drop the pencils on the ground.
He answers yes or no by moving the pencil so it falls into one of the labelled squares.

YES

The 'game' seems to have come from Spanish speaking country's, though it does beg the question why it isn't Carlitos Carlitos? There are even some claims that Charlie Charlie is a ancient Mexican god, such claims seem unlikely unless the deity has had a name change.

There are also claims that Charlie Charlie is a demon, and the practice is satanic, though i can see nothing overtly christian / catholic about Charlie Charlie or the game itself, so we can probably rule this out. Some say he is a ghost of a young man. Charlie Charlie is said to have black eyes and a red robe and to harass people who don't play the game by his rules.
Such people have experienced disembodied voices, Telekinesis, unexplained shadows, sinister laughing among other 'paranormal' events.

To my eyes this seems less like Ouija board use, or even use of a Pendulum for divination. But with the Spirit of the Pendulum given a name and back story.

After some experimentation it seems Charlie Charlie does give adequate answers. It can be difficult to set up the pencils where they wont be inadvertently influenced by table movements and your own breath, though it could be argued that maybe that's the energy that can more easily be used by Charlie Charlie to answer the questions.
It seems harmless enough, and might teach the young folk that ending a ritual is just as important as starting it. As well as the ability to tell when a given phenomenon is supernatural or mundane, this is a very important skill to develop and it seems severely lacking in our current society. So many people jump to the illogical conclusion that something is mundane despite all evidence to the contrary.

Personally for my quick divination needs i would stick with the pendulum, its just as easy to perform and gives more reliable results. Please comment below if you have tried it and let us know what happened.
As with everything, caution should be used when dealing with the other realm.

Charlie Charlie can we stop?

Update:

While making a video version of this blog i may have been visited by Charlie Charlie himself.

Homophobic first person shooter taken down

WARNING CONTAINS OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE
This person is seriously sick and deluded. Some homophobic bigot (at Skaldic Games) has created a "game", called "Kill the Faggots".
The “game” was created as part of the Steam Greenlight program, the "game" has since been taken down from Steam. In this poorly realised abomination the aim is to shoot homosexuals and transgender people, you lose points if you accidentally shoot a straight person.  Meanwhile offensive hate speech and anti-gay slurs are heard and appear on the screen. It is clearly designed to incite hatred and promote violence against the LGBTI community.
According to  Randall Herman (the bigot who created this) his reason for creating this "game" was;

"These people that think if you are even remotely homophobic, you are 'hateful' and a 'bigot,' and do everything they can to destroy you in every vicious way possible,"

Wait let’s stop there for a second; We urgently need a few definitions;

Definition of HOMOPHOBIA:
 Irrational fear of, aversion to, hatred towards or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals

Definition of BIGOTRY:
Intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.

Definition HATRED:
The feeling of one who hates; intense dislike or extreme aversion or hostility towards someone or something.

Let me make this point, let me be absolutely clear, every act of homophobia, however small, is an act of hatred and it is an act of bigotry towards homosexuals, that’s what makes it homophobic!

It seems like this Randall Herman, the “game” creator also has some kind of obsession with shoes and had a failed Kickstarter for “Christian shoes”? Don't ask me i don't know what christian shoes are...
I expect that he wont get any job as
quality assurance (or otherwise), in the gaming industry anytime soon. We should also hope he gets the psychiatric help he so obviously needs.
