Breaking News: None of this is insulting...

Barnaby Joyce claims that no one has been insulted by the "debate" on equality.

 Barnaby Joyce who is unbelievably the deputy PM of Australia, has recently claimed that "I don't see anybody's been assaulted or killed, or even really insulted" as a result of the proposed plebiscite.

 Barnaby Joyce is the buffoon who threatened to kill Johnny Depp's puppys. The same person claimed that gay people shouldn't have equal rights because "everybody doesn't always get everything they want". He attacked the brave people who exposed the cruelty in the Australian wool industry for exposing the cruelty instead of addressing the actual cruelty.

 A bit of back story, the Plebiscite is a public vote on if gay people should have the same rights as straight people. The plebiscite isn't necessary and the current laws are unconstitutional. The vote would not be binding, the government will fund homophobia and hate speech in the lead up to the vote, and even if the vote passed the result wouldn't even grant equal marriage rights, it would entrench LGBT discrimination into law.

 Barnaby Joyce has said this dispute homophobes calling gay people Nazis knowing how offensive that is because the Nazis were persecuting gay men during the holocaust.

  This is despite homophobic flyers being distributed on car windshields and into innocent peoples letter boxes. These flyers were insulting to Nelsen Mandela, children, single parent families, foster families, blended families, and of course LGBT Australians, they were incredibly untruthful, off-topic and bigoted.

 He said this after people protesting an anti-bullying campaign have implied LGBT youth are pedophiles and called for them to be lynched. In addition to saying that supporters of equality should be killed.

 So there could be a few reasons for his demonstrably false comment.

1. He is incompetent, and has not followed the news, he did not check up on the facts before being interviewed.

2.  He is aware of all this homophobic behavior but has such a low opinion of LGBT Australians that he doesn't consider any of this misinformation, threats of violence or vilification to be  insulting.

3. He is not being incompetent, he is putting his homophobia aside and he is choosing to lie the he Australian people.

 I don't think any of these possibility's are ideal for anyone holding a political position. We should expect more competence, respect and honesty from the leader of a political parry. That he is the deputy prime minister of Australia should be a concern to all decent Australians. He should apologise and resign immediately.

 Malcolm Turnbull who is also for the homophobic plebiscite but has falsely claimed the "debate" on equal rights would be civil and respectful. Mr. Turnbull has so far ignored all the hate speech and misinformation being spread by the anti-marriage homophobes. He has taken no action against those from within his party that re spreading this hate speech, even before the public funded gay vilification program officially begins.

 Despite the fact that he has also said that Australia has no place for homophobia and that homophobia would not be tolerated in Australia, he has yet to stand up to the radical right in defense of Australians.
 Mr.Turnbull may be in a difficult position one one hand his party demands that they keep an election promise for once and vote on equality before the end of 2016, while on the other hand radical bigots within his party refuse to vote on marriage equality without the horrific plebiscite.
 At this stage it seems he ether needs to stand up to the rot within his party and vote for real marriage equality before the end of the year as promised or he needs to declare he has lost faith in his party's ability to govern and hand over the government. I am not sure how that would work in or system but he cant continue to do nothing.

Barnaby Joyce confesses to cannibalism

Barnaby Joyce may be an inbred tomato

 You may remember Barnaby Joyce as the government minister who thought animal abuse in the Australian Wool industry was not a problem.

 Perhaps you remember him trying to justify not giving LGBT people equal rights in Australia because China might not like it.

 Surely you know him as the obsessed fan who complemented Johnny Depps appearance and then threatened to kill his dogs.

 Barnaby wasn't disciplined for his behavior by the government, in fact he is now the deputy prime minister of Australia.

 Barnaby didn't get to kill Johnny Debs puppy's, but he did force Johnny Depp and his wife to apologise on video.

 Recently Johnny Depp was asked about the bizarre video in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Where he suggested that Barnaby Joyce my be inbred with a tomato. He went on saying that the observation wasn't a criticism and that he was merely worried that Joyce may explode.

 Barnaby Joyce has not denied the suggestion that he is inbred with a tomato.

 In a strange move Barnaby Joyce has instead implied that he himself is a cannibalistic serial killer in the same vein as the fictional Hannibal Lecter. It is unknown at this time if the police are taking this confession seriously or ignoring it as the bleating of a deranged imbecile.

Barnaby Joyce is wrong on equality

 Barnacle Joyce Strikes Again

Regular readers of this blog or anyone who doesn’t watch only biased news will remember Barnaby Joyce the agriculture minister of Australia as the man who attacked an animal welfare group for exposing cruelty in the Australian wool industry, or perhaps the man who threatened to have Johnny Depp’s little terriers killed.

Amazingly Barnaby is still in the front bench and is still the agriculture minister; he is in the news again for his cruel and barbaric comments on equality. This is what he said:

“I don’t believe we should be redefining marriage.”

So we should repeal the change to the marriage act of 2004, no not really he is pretending that never happened.

-“(marriage) is not about equality”

That may be easy to say when you have the rights that others do not, marriage equality is exactly about equality.

He seems to be saying that if you change the marriage legislation then, it still doesn’t change marriage. Again I have to wonder about the discriminatory changes made in 2004 that excluded same-sex couples. But again he isn’t referring to that legislation only legislation that would allow equal rights. Also if it wouldn't change his interpretation of his religions current version of marriage (which it wouldn't) then why does he stand against it?

He is using the term traditional marriage, I don’t think 2004 to present makes something traditional, and let’s be honest here when he says traditional he means biblical.  I don’t think he is really advocating for traditional biblical marriage, just his interpretation of his religions current version of marriage. The marriage laws in Australia are supposed to be non-secular, religion has nothing to do with t, and well except for the fact the laws were changed in 2004 to prevent the practice of same sex marriages by those religions that accept the fact homosexuality is a natural expression of human sexuality.

He said “everybody doesn’t get everything they want.” Now hang on just one minute here, were talking about removing unconstitutional discriminatory legislation and giving equal rights to a persecuted minority, and that’s his response.  Perhaps if we were asking for retroactive compensation for all the ears we haven’t had equal rights that may be something a sane person might say. If we were even just demanding the return of want all the estimated taxes, levees and government fees we have paid since we were born gay without full rights, then maybe.  But we are not, we just want equal rights, and to not be discriminated against would be nice, that’s it, that’s our agenda.

We’re talking about the increased feelings of commitment, acceptance and the benefit that children may have when their parents are married, and his response is “everybody doesn’t get everything they want.”. When talking about removing governmental discrimination, that studies have shown leads to prejudice and discrimination in other areas of our society. When talking about the discrimination of homosexuals that can lead to depression, drug abuse, stress, anxiety, and suicide he said “everybody doesn’t get everything they want.” Lets just let the gravity of that sink in for a second...

He seems to be saying that those who are infertile or those who do not intend to have children should also be barred from marriage, but that would require changing the marriage laws again so he is contradicting himself.

He then tries to claim changing the legislation (which would have no effect on his interpretation of his religions current version of marriage) would somehow negatively affect children. When to contrary it is shown that married family’s children are more accepted in our society. He then rambles about children having an absolute right to know their biological parents, which has nothing to do with marriage equality at all. Funny children have that absolute right but if there born gay like I was and might one day want to marry the person they love, then he suddenly doesn’t care too much about their rights.

He seems to think it has been “thousands of years” since 2004, its 2015 now, um that’s very not right.

And apparently we aren’t allowed to end discrimination in Australia because other countries might incorrectly see us as “decadent”, oh seriously, this is beyond ridiculous.

There is obviously no valid argument against marriage equality, those bigoted and homophobic politicians against equal rights should just resign if they cant do the right thing, and let us pass the laws and move on to other things already.

A good source for information, can be found on this Marriage Equality website.
Seriously it should be one of the first places to go before any politician voices their opinion about equality, might make some of their opinions a little more informed.

Barnaby Joyce war on terriors and decency

Who let the dogs in?

Johnny Depp is currently in Australia filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean move. It was discovered that he had brought his two little Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, in on his private plane, without proper authorisation.

Barnaby Joyce National party minister, agriculture minister and popularly referred to as an all round asshat, commented to Australia’s media that;

“It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States,”

and

“Now Mr Depp has to either take his dogs back to California or we’re going to have to euthanise them. He’s got about 50 hours left to remove the dogs.”

You might remember Barnaby Joyce from his bizarre behavior when PETA exposed cruelty in the Australian wool industry

He also attended another gay hate rally where he said he was opposed to marriage equality because;

“We know that the best protection for those girls (his daughters) is that they get themselves into a secure relationship with a loving husband and I want that to happen for them."

and

"I don’t want any legislator to take that right away from me.”

No one is sure how giving equal rights to Australians would possibly prevent his daughters from marrying men. Ignoring the apparent misogyny of his comment, my best guess is that he has such a low opinion of women that he believes the majority of men will "jump ship" and stop pretending to be straight as soon as equality comes to Australia, leaving his daughters with few men to marry.
If you have a better explanation please comment below.

 Barnaby Joyce outrageious attack on Australia tourism and its film industry has met with eye rolling and disgust within the sensible Australian community. People understand that Australia needs to keep animal diseases out, but we even today, expect our ministers to measure their words and not threaten to kill peoples pets. A few friends have suggested that Mr Joyce may be jealous of Johnny  Depp's looks as Barnaby oddly mentioned how attractive Depp was in his statement.
Its strange behavior and bizarre behavior seems to be way to common with out politicians at the moment.

Clive Palmer billionaire and politician said;

"His actions could potentially put the movie project in jeopardy and damage our relationship with the US, costing thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in exports."

 kyle Sandilands an Australian radio and TV personality said to Barnaby in an interview;

 "You sound like an absolute clown telling the guy to bugger off to Hollywood or we'll kill his dogs,"

 and

 "You're a government minister, not some idiot off the street mouthing off to a news camera. Have some decency."

and

“You’re an absolute joke, Barnaby ... I'm going off because you sound like an insensitive wanker. That's what you sound like, Barnaby. You're a joke, you're a disgrace and you should retract your statement and reword it properly,"

 I could not find a comment on Barnaby Joyce's continued inappropriate behavior by our Prime Minister and possible Reptilian Tony Abbot.

While incredibly Barnaby Joyce still holds his position as agriculture minister, the story does have a happy ending as the two little dogs managed to flee his clutches and are safe from his nefarious attentions.
